Doug was great to work with! We had a sensitive family situation going on at the time of selling and buying our new house. He was great to answer questions that seemed silly but was honest and helpful. Quick to respond and honest to deal with.

I was referred to Doug Birkey by a neighbor that had previously worked with him and was highly satisfied. I chose to stick with Doug after talking to him because he is a straight shooter. Doug listens and then applies the needs you have communicated to the research he provides. Dougs attention to detail and understanding attitude were extremely helpful throughout the process. He understood why we walked away from the properties we didnt like while not making us feel hurried or forced to settle on a property (he spent time focused on us and only us for the time we spent with him). He was always available, and extremely knowledgeable during all inspections. Doug was also extremely responsible, and professional with the handling of money ,and complete with his explanations and coverage regarding any type of agreement. His negotiating skills and recommendations were also help during the process and he served as a great "middle ground" between myself and the seller allowing us to reach common ground without pushing to hard on either side. Doug took the time to help us investigate what we wanted in a first home and allowed us to do our own research to find places we thought we may be interested in and then helped us to build a portfolio of knowledge which eventually led to sealing the deal on our first home. His experience and, ability to assist with personal inspections (when we walked through) was something I value. When you have a realtor that not only knows how to buy/sell/negotiate, but also has knowledge about home building,maintenance,etc this is a HUGE benefit to a buyer or seller.This knowledge avoids pitfalls/costs associated with inspections if blatant issues exist and go unseen by the potential buyer/seller. Overall his patience,professionalism, and clear/timely communications stood out throughout the transaction. I would without hesitation recommend him to a friend or family member.

Mr. Birkey was a local builder for many years, that knowledge makes him an extremely knowledgeable agent for selling home. His invaluable understanding of a homes construction, puts him in an elite class of agents. Mr. Birkey was the best agent we have ever worked with.

What can I truly say that would show how much Wendy and I appreciate working with Doug.
